Dr. Evans Dr. Lora Evans was born in Iowa but was raised in Salisbury, North Carolina. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she played varsity tennis, but eventually came to her senses and received her DVM degree from North Carolina State University (although she somehow manages to cheer for both schools during the college seasons). Dr. Evans has been with Boulevard since 1988. Dr. Evans has a particular interest in eye diseases, cats, and endocrine problems. She is very active with the NCVMA (North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association) and is a member of the AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association).
Dr. Evans is very devoted to Smokey, her black Labrador Retriever. She also enjoys basketball, cycling, gardening, and is an avid tennis player. When not spending time traveling she likes to visit her family and friends in Salisbury.

Dr. Head A native of Ohio, Dr. Tom Head received his veterinary degree from The Ohio State University. Dr. Head has been with us at Boulevard since 2004. Dr. Head is a devoted husband and father. His 5 year old daughter, Jessica, likes to come visit the hospital with Dr. Head to see the patients. He is very active with his family and church. In his spare time he enjoys fishing, photography, cheering on the Buckeyes, and taking care of the two family pets; Allie, a beautiful Maine Coon Cat, and Emily the toad.

Dr. Allen A native North Carolinian, Dr. Danny Allen played football at NC State University before attending the University of Georgia Veterinary School. Upon relocating to Raleigh he purchased Boulevard Animal Hospital from Dr. Ralph Williams. After practicing for many years Dr. Allen is now enjoying his family and friends in semi-retirement. He still comes in to perform surgeries, to see old friends, and clients on various Tuesdays of each month. Even in retirement Dr. Allen is active in the veterinary community with the NCVMA (North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association), AVMA (American Veterinary Medical Association), and he most recently received the Distinguished Alumni Award from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine.
